Since the start of the full-scale war
Since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Girls has refocused its work on financial, humanitarian and psychological assistance to war victims. We implement both our own projects and projects with the support of donor organizations.
Since March 2022
Since March 2022, Girls has been implementing a project with the support of the Global Fund for Children to provide targeted financial and humanitarian assistance throughout Kyiv region
April 2022
In April 2022, with the support of the Global Fund for Children, we provided tablets to children from Bucha District, which endured some of the most widely-covered and catastrophic suffering of the war. Thanks to this program, hundreds of children were able to return to the (virtual) classroom and resume their education.
Since May 2022
Since May 2022, Divchata has been working with SOS Children's Villages to provide humanitarian and psychological assistance to women with children and large families from Kyiv Region.
Helping IDPs
To help IDPs, we are outfitting the Temporary Shelter Center in the village of Lukivtsi, Chernivtsi Region, with grant support from the United Nations Peacebuilding and Financial Development Program and financial support from the European Union. We are setting up this shelter together with the NGO Active Community.
