“Internally, I have become stronger, I believe in myself and my abilities. I have changed how I view certain events and achieved success not only in my career, but also in other areas of my life,” Olha shares (name changed).
She is a 21-year-old young woman, a student who worked as a sales assistant in a clothing store. Despite her young age, Olha faced persistent anxiety, fear of the future, and difficulties in relationships. Her thoughts kept returning to the past, and living in the present did not feel possible. She could not cope with this on her own, so Olha made a conscious decision to seek professional support.
She came to the “Girls. Children” club in Bucha, where she received free psychological support. At the very first meeting, she felt safe and realised that she could trust the psychologist. The work continued in a systematic way: regular sessions, ongoing support, and consistent work with her inner experiences.
Gradually, Olha began to let go of what had previously kept her in a constant state of tension. She developed inner calm, self-confidence, and a clearer understanding of her own situations. During her work with the psychologist, Olha was promoted to a manager — and she does not plan to stop there. The changes took place not only in her career, but also in her relationships and in her overall perception of herself. The anxiety that had previously been her constant background state began to recede. Olha became more internally resilient and learned to trust herself and her decisions.
Olha’s story shows that psychological support is an effective tool that helps a person understand their inner states, find support within themselves, and begin acting from a position of strength rather than fear.
