✨ The training of the second cohort of young leaders from different regions of Ukraine has been completed. During the month, the participants learnt how to develop and implement effective campaigns to promote gender equality and human rights and combat stereotypes, including
📚 the importance of comprehensive sex education to prevent gender-based violence (GBV)
🚫 combating gender stereotypes in youth employment;
🧩 support for families raising children with disabilities;
🧠 adolescents’ awareness of gender equality, rights, and GBV recognition;
🤝 strengthening the role of youth in shaping an environment of equality.

The participants worked on their campaigns under mentorship, mastering advocacy and communication tools, working with visual content, and preparing information materials. An important part was the discussion of their own experiences, as many ideas were born from real stories that inspired them to make changes.
💬 “We saw how ordinary ideas turn into strong messages that can change society’s attitude to important issues. This training has become a space of trust, support, and bold decisions,” said the trainers of the “Equality. Leadership. Future” initiative.
Next, the participant will have to finalize their ideas and turn them into full-fledged communication and advocacy campaigns. The best ones will receive funding.

📢 The campaigns plan to cover both online and local communities to take another step towards a society without discrimination and stereotypes.

The NGO Girls implement the "Equality. Leadership. Future" initiative within the framework of the UN Women’s project "Strengthening Women's Leadership for Resilient and Peaceful Communities" funded by Denmark, and "Transformative Approaches to Achieving Gender Equality in Ukraine" project funded by Sweden and implemented in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, and in partnership with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
