Olena Markelova, an advocate and a lawyer at the NGO Girls, and Oleksandra Bielieninnik, Sector Coordinator for Combating GBV, participated in the conference “Access to Services for Survivors of СRSV as an Element of Recovery: Achievements and Challenges”.
This conference provided an opportunity to discuss issues related to the response to conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), namely available services for survivors, provided by both state authorities and civil society organizations, barriers that prevent them from seeking these services, and possible solutions to overcome these problems.
The final stage of the conference was interactive group work “Cooperation to remove barriers to service provision for survivors of CRSV”, during which participants worked in three groups to develop recommendations. After the discussion, each group presented its findings.
The conference was organized by the Analytical Center JurFem with the support of HIAS.
