The results of the research "Youth Leadership in Crises"

The NGO Girls presented the results of the research"Youth Leadership in Crises"at the forum "Youth - the Driving Force of Development and Recovery". Daria Chekalova, Deputy Director, made a speech at the opening of the forum, and Lidia Antoniuk, Head of the Analytical Department, presented the research.

Despite the desire to change the future of the country, more than half of young people in Ukraine have a low level of quality of life (according to the WHO-5 scale), and 29% have a very low level of quality of life. About 31% have mostly poor health, which indicates the presence of depressive symptoms.

The main stressors for young people in Ukraine are uncertainty about the future, concerns about the safety of loved ones, potential mobilization, economic problems, and separation from relatives and friends.

This list of problems shows that it is important to work with young people and take into account their needs because it is these people who will determine the future development of the country.

The main message of the forum was "Development should be inclusive". According to the surveys conducted as part of the research, young people believe that in order to ensure a peaceful society, it is necessary to implement the principles of equality, access to services and equal participation in public life.

The research "Youth Leadership in Crises" was conducted by the NGO Girls together with the NGO "STAN" with the support of People in Need.
