What do we do?

Leaders of sex education in Ukraine

We implement comprehensive sex education programmes in educational institutions across Ukraine, which have already been attended by more than 250,000 children. We also conduct educational lectures and training sessions for teenagers and adults aimed at raising awareness of intimate health, contraception, personal hygiene, and developing a conscious attitude to one's body and personal boundaries.

Combating gender-based violence

We organize information campaigns and conduct training sessions for law enforcement agencies, social services, educators and doctors. In addition, we provide direct assistance to survivors, create safe spaces and support a network of crisis centres.

Supporting survivors of GBV

We provide long-term psychological support to children and adults affected by any form of gender-based violence. The organization operates a hotline for psychological support. It is available every day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and offers crisis support via the chatbot or by calling 0800 600 044.

Women's leadership

We organize training sessions, seminars and mentoring programmes providing women with practical skills, motivation and support to develop leadership qualities and achieve professional goals. We have retraining and employment assistance projects.

Wartime support

We comprehensively help IDPs by providing not only material and psychological support but also promoting their social adaptation and integration into new communities. We pay special attention to the protection of children creating conditions for their safe development and recovery.

Information and media campaigns

We develop and distribute various materials on gender equality, GBV prevention, mental health support and sex education. Thanks to such campaigns, we debunk myths, overcome stigma and motivate girls and women to make positive changes. In particular, we have created the video podcast “The Power in You”, which demonstrates the diversity of leadership through the stories of successful women.

We have launched a hotline for psychological support for survivors of GBV.
In cooperation with leading international organizations, including UNICEF, UHF, BHA, WV, Care, World Vision, Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, and many others, we have successfully implemented dozens of social projects.
We have conducted representative national studies on such topics as “Women and Stigma”, “Youth Leadership in Crises”, and “Gender-Based Violence in Ukraine Amid War”.
We have opened 10 rehabilitation centres and safe spaces for women and children in different regions.
We have created a guidance manual “Fundamentals of Reproductive and Sexual Health” approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The NGO Girls builds its work on a solid foundation of consistency and quality. Each of our projects is implemented through careful preparation, in-depth analysis and the involvement of the best experts. Thanks to this, we create effective long-term programmes recognized both in Ukraine and abroad confirming our reputation as a responsible partner.

We are convinced that solving social problems is possible only through joint efforts. Therefore, we are always open to cooperation with companies, people and media that share our values and views.
