IDPs Support in Ukraine

In May 2022, NGO Girls began a large-scale project "Support for IDPs in Ukraine" together with the international organization World Vision.

Within the framework of the project, which will last 12 months, NGO Girls will provide psychological, social, humanitarian, legal and educational support to internally displaced persons in four regions:

Kyiv,
Vinnytsia,
Odessa,
Transcarpathian regions.

Since February 2023, we have been cooperating with the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need.

Within the framework of the joint project, we cover Dnipro and Zaporizhzhya regions, where we provide psychological and social support to internally displaced persons and the local population.

Mobile groups provide counseling, conduct online and offline activities aimed at reducing stress in children and adults, and take measures to combat gender-based violence in Zaporizhzhya and Dnipo regions.

The program "Support of IDPs in Ukraine" provides 9 areas of support for victims of war:

Humanitarian aid,
Shelter Support,
Psychological assistance,
Legal advice to IDPs,
Organization of kindergartens and children's rooms,
Social rehabilitation of children through the organization of creative classes, sports sections, etc.,
Adult social rehabilitation,
Career guidance and training assistance,
Educational activities for adolescents and adults.

Activities in four regions of Ukraine have already been launched and are gaining momentum. Events that can be attended by participants (children, teenagers, adults) are absolutely free!

Kyiv region:

Social rehabilitation (art therapy, recreational activities, sports, etc.),
Individual psychological consultations,
Group psychological consultations (for children and adolescents),
Studying the Ukrainian language,
Learning English,
Lectures on sexual enlightenment and menstrual health,
Courses and classes for adults,
Legal assistance,
Career guidance activities,
Support of shelters for displaced persons.
